'Parenthood': Graham in for Hunt in for Tierney? (TAF, THR)
By Nancy Tartaglione
When Maura Tierney dropped out of NBC's upcoming drama series "Parenthood," in order to focus on her treatment for breast cancer, news was that Helen Hunt would step in. Yesterday, the Ausiello Files blog reported that it now looks like Lauren Graham will take the role instead.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, a deal with Hunt could not be made and Graham is now in negotiations.
The show, a contemporary take on Ron Howard's 1989 movie, also includes Peter Krause, Erika Christensen, Dax Shepard, Bonnie Bedelia and Craig T. Nelson in the cast.
"Parenthood," executive produced by Katims, Howard and Brian Grazer, was slated for a fall launch but pushed to mid-season after Tierney's illness was discovered in July.
