Murray goes undead for 'Ghostbusters III' (DM)

Bill Murray will be back in "Ghostbusters III," he told the Mail Online, but it will be as a ghost.
In a wide-ranging interview, Murray disclosed, "I said to them, 'I'll do it if you kill me off in the first reel.' So now they are going to have me as a ghost in the film."
Subsequent remarks infer a sort of last laugh for what Murray saw as the second movie's shortcomings.
"The first 45 minutes of the original Ghostbusters is some of the funniest stuff ever made," he said, but "The second one was disappointing, because the special-effects guys took over. I had something like two scenes - and they're the only funny ones in the movie."
So as a ghost, one could assume that most of his appearance in the movie would be as a special effect with commensurate screen time for his trouble.
