By Nancy Tartaglione

With Matt Damon and Jude Law set for Steven Soderbergh's "Contagion," Marion Cotillard and Kate Winslet are now in talks to join the action-thriller. Variety reports that Participant Media is in talks to co-finance and produce.

Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher of Double Feature Films are also producing.

"Contagion" is based on a script by Scott Z. Burns and revolves around the threat posed by a deadly disease. The plan is to shoot the multiple-plotline tale later this year.

Deadline.com reports that several studio execs have read the script and posits that the film ought to spark a bidding battle when it is shopped by the producers and Soderbergh's Anonymous Content rep Michael Sugar.
