Meloni to 'Man of Steel' - but who's he playing? (DH, VUL)
By Nancy Tartaglione
Christopher Meloni is reportedly in negotiations for a major role in Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel." When Deadline reported the news on Friday, it said it was as yet unclear what role he'd play. While Internet speculation pointed to Lex Luthor, Vulture spoke to Meloni this week who clarified the issue, somewhat.
The erstwhile "SVU" actor told Vulture he'd be playing a general in the movie. But when we pressed for more information about the role, he said, "I can't tell you, or I'd have to kill you."
According to Vulture, he starts shooting at the end of August over a period of five months in locations including Chicago, Vancouver and Edwards Air Force Base.
Also starring in "Man of Steel" are Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, Julia Ormond, Kevin Costner and Diane Lane.
