BIEL WILL 'DIE A LITTLE' AT UNITED ARTISTS (VAR, THR)
By Nancy Vialatte
Jessica Biel will star in crime thriller "Die a Little" at United Artists. Richard Gladstein will produce via his FilmColony banner. Biel's Iron Ocean Films is also on board to produce. Based on Megan Abbott's novel, the film will explore how the lives of a schoolteacher and her LAPD detective brother are turned upside down by a mysterious woman.
Although the novel is set in 1954 in the LA area, the film will be based in the present day. Biel is playing the mysterious woman. Marcia and Geoffrey Blake, who pitched the project to the actress, are writing the script.
Biel was last seen in "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" and is currently in production on "Powder Blue" alongside Forest Whitaker, Patrick Swayze and Ray Liotta.
Gladstein's credits include "Finding Neverland," "The Nanny Diaries" and the upcoming "Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium" and "Killshot."
