'HOUSEWIVES' BRING 'FRASIER,' 'GRACE' SCRIBES INTO MIX (VAR)
By Stephen Saito
After what many consider a creative and ratings falloff, "Desperate Housewives" is replacing the departed executive producer Tom Spezialy with "Out of Practice" and "Frasier" executive producers Joe Keenan and Bob Daily. The duo will be co-executive producers on the show. One-time "Will & Grace" co-showrunner Jeff Greenstein is also taking an unspecified role.
Writes Variety's Josef Adalian:
Daily is on board to work full-time as co-exec producer. Keenan has been talking to Touchstone about coming aboard as co-exec producer, with a deal that could up him to exec producer later in the season. Exact nature of Greenstein's role on "DH" is still up in the air as the scribe is said to desire enough time to actively develop projects next season.
