'Transformers 2' heads to Pennsylvania

As director Michael Bay�s �Transformers 2� heads into production, the Bethlehem, Pa., Morning Call reports the project will be shooting some scenes at the beginning of June on the site of the Bethlehem Steel facility.
A casting call has gone out for ''Asian men and women, boys and girls, ages 7 [to] 65', the paper reported, and the production �hopes to recruit extras of Asian descent who have military backgrounds.�
Blast furnaces at the facility will be used as backdrops, the paper said, with the site transformed into a fictional Chinese city.
Previous reports have indicated �Transformers 2,� will be shooting at various Pennsylvania locations including the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Release date of July 2009 is planned for the DreamWorks/Paramount project.
