Brad Pitt is a busy guy. Warner Bros. and Pitt are teaming with George Miller to adapt Homers The Odyssey while Steve Zaillian has signed on to adapt Michael Lewis nonfiction bestseller "Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game" which is being developed as a potential Pitt star vehicle. David Frankel is attached to direct the latter project.
For The Odyssey, the intention is to transfer the tale to a futuristic setting in outer space. The early hope is that Pitt will star and Miller will direct, with Pitts Plan B producing.
Pitt played Achilles in the Wolfgang Petersen-directed "Troy" which was adapted from Homers "The Iliad."
Moneyball tells the story of Oakland As general manager Billy Beane, who assembled a contending baseball club on a shoestring budget by employing a sophisticated computer-based analysis to draft players.
Michael De Luca is producing alongside Rachael Horovitz, says Variety.
