Damon, Nolfi make 'Adjustment,' McKay, Ferrell, Wahlberg are 'B-Team' (VAR)

Variety reports that two potentially hot spec packages are currently making the rounds of studios and may find a home by week's end. One, being shopped by Media Rights Capital, is a drama from writer George Nolfi with Matt Damon attached while the other is an Adam McKay-directed comedy with Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg starring.
Nolfi, who wrote Damon-starrer "The Bourne Ultimatum" and who is also writing the next Bourne franchise installment, would make his directing debut with "The Adjustment Bureau." Project is said to be loosely based on a Philip K. Dick short story. That story, believed to be "The Adjustment Team," sees a real estate salesman discover that the world is really a manufactured reality controlled by mysterious guardians.
Meanwhile, Variety reports that several studios were bidding Tuesday on McKay's "B-Team," an action comedy written by Chris Henchy.
Henchy co-wrote Ferrell's upcoming "Land of the Lost," and is co-executive producer of HBO's "Entourage," on which Wahlberg is executive producer. He is also involved in McKay and Ferrell's Web site FunnyOrDie.com.
