COTILLARD, MURPHY, PAGE IN TALKS FOR NOLAN'S 'INCEPTION' (THR, VAR)

By Nancy Tartaglione

Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy and Ellen Page are in talks to join Leonardo DiCaprio in Warner Bros.' Christopher Nolan-directed "Inception." The film would see Nolan reunite with Murphy who played Scarecrow in "Batman Begins" and had a cameo in "The Dark Knight." It would be his first project with Cotillard and Page. Production is set to begin this summer for a 2010 release.

While little is known about the plot of the film, the studio has described it as a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, some details are starting to filter out, however, with DiCaprio's character mentioned as a CEO-type and Cotillard as his wife. Page is said to be a young college grad student and DiCaprio's sidekick.

Oscar winner Cotillard will next be seen in Michael Mann's "Public Enemies." She just completed the Rob Marshall's musical "Nine."

Page recently teamed with Murphy in "Peacock" and stars in the Drew Barrymore-directed "Whip It!"
