Coens' 'True Grit' rides to Christmas Day; 'Footloose' release dance-card now blank (VAR, TW)
By Wiretap Staff
Paramount Pictures will release Joel and Ethan Coen's remake "True Grit" on Christmas Day, 2010. The studio's remake of "Footloose," however, has fallen off the calendar.
That film was set to open June 18 but after losing Zac Efron (replaced by Chace Crawford), the project also saw director Kenny Ortega ankle. No new director is on board.
