Charlize Theron and David Fincher are teaming to develop a drama series for HBO and Fox 21. "Mind Hunter" revolves around the investigation of serial killers.
Variety reports that Fox 21 has optioned the book "Mind Hunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit," by John Douglas and Mark Olshaker which recounts Douglas' experiences as a top FBI investigator of serial killers and rapists, and the profiling techniques he developed.
Scott Buck, an exec producer on Showtime's "Dexter," will write the pilot.
Theron is producing through her Denver and Delilah banner.
The match between Theron and Fincher was made shortly after Theron signed with WME last summer, says Variety.
