Delpy to direct 'Paris' sequel, '2 Days in New York' (SCR)
By Nancy Tartaglione
Following her successful 2007 directing effort "2 Days in Paris," Julie Delpy is heading to New York to film the sequel, aptly titled "2 Days in New York."
Delpy will begin shooting in New York this fall from her own script. Starring again as Marion, Delpy is shifting the action to Manhattan where her character has moved with her child from her now-over relationship with "2 Days in Paris'" Jack.
There will be a new love interest for Marion, to be played by a well-known US actor who has yet to be announced. Adam Goldberg, who played Jack in the first film, will not appear in "New York," but other members of the "Paris" cast - including Delpy's real father - will be back.
The mostly English-language film is eyeing a delivery date around Cannes 2011.
