'Freaks and Geeks' and Wiig (VAR)
By Nancy Tartaglione
Paul Feig and Judd Apatow are set to reteam for the first time since working together on "Freaks and Geeks," Variety reports. The former will direct and the latter will produce an untitled Kristen Wiig project for Universal. Wiig wrote the comedy with writing partner Annie Mumolo.
The fast-tracked project has a possible spring start but the logline is being kept under wraps. Variety says, however, the film is described as revolving around women competing to plan a friend's wedding party.
Apatow is producing through his Apatow Prods. shingle alongside Barry Mendel. Feig is exec producing, and Wiig and Mumolo are co-producing.
