'BEACH LANE': OSWALT OUT OF HAMPTONS-SET PILOT AFTER TABLE READ? (TLF)
By Nancy Tartaglione
The NBC comedy pilot "Beach Lane" has reportedly lost one of its residents. Sources told The Hollywood Reporter's Live Feed blog that Patton Oswalt is out of his co-starring lead role after a table read Tuesday.
Oswalt was cast earlier this week in the project alongside Matthew Broderick and Kristen Johnston.
One source told THR that producers have offered Oswalt another part instead.
Oswalt was set to play James, a slacker with inherited wealth who's given the job of running a small Hamptons newspaper.
