Isaak in for Cowell? (THR)
By Nancy Tartaglione
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the search to replace Simon Cowell for the 10th season of Fox's "American Idol," is heating up and one possibility could now be singer Chris Isaak who has met twice with the network. Fox, however, insists no decision is imminent, says THR. Meanwhile, another crooner, Harry Connick Jr., also has been considered.
Isaak, in addition to writing hit songs like 1989's "Wicked Game," has appeared in several TV series, including "Eastwick," "Cold Case," "Smallville" and his own "Chris Isaak Show."
Bret Michaels, according to THR sources, is out of the running while Donald Trump has also quietly lobbied to replace Cowell.
