A Beverly Hills hairdresser has been arrested and accused of defrauding celebrity clients by using their credit card numbers to run up huge bills, according to media reports. Those named as alleged victims of Maria Gabriela Perez' scheme include Jennifer Aniston, Cher and Anne Hathaway.
Among others allegedly targeted by her scheme are Melanie Griffith, Scott Speedman and Liv Tyler. According to court documents, Perez is accused of "fraudulently [charging] approximately $280,000 worth of charges in a one year period."
The stars are said to all have ben clients at Perez' Chez Gabriela Studio.
A rep for Cher, however, told TMZ that she was not a victim in the alleged scheme -- and does not know why she was named in the affidavit.
Perez faces 25 years in prison if convicted.
