Bill Murray to play FDR? (VUL, DH)
By Nancy Tartaglione
Deadline reports that Bill Murray -- who apparently still hasn't told Sony if he's read the script for "Ghostbusters 3" -- is being courted to play Franklin Delano Roosevelt in Focus and Film Four's Roger Michell-directed "Hyde Park on the Hudson." Vulture, citing spies, says the actor is indeed on board the project.
Per Vulture, the movie will start shooting in July, with a script by Richard Nelson who adapted his own 2009 BBC radio play about the quasi-incestuous love affair between the president and his distant cousin, Margaret Stuckley. Kevin Loader is producing.
Here's Deadline on the difficulties of communicating with Murray.
