Last month, it was reported that "Bridesmaids" & "SNL" star Kristen Wiig was producing dramedy "Imogene," in which she would also star. Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini are directing the now-confirmed project which Michelle Morgan will exec produce with Wiig and Anonymous Content's Steve Golin.
Per Variety, Wiig will star as the title character, a moderately successful New York playwright who stages a fake suicide attempt to win back her ex-boyfriend - only to end up being forced into the custody of her gambling-addict mother.
Anonymous Content's Alix Madigan will produce with Celine Rattray and Trudie Styler, who are launching their New York-based Maven Pictures with the project. Shooting will start August 8 in New York.
