Hugh Grant wins High Court ruling in phone hacking scandal (REU)
By Nancy Tartaglione
Score another one for Hugh Grant in the News of the World hacking scandal. Reuters reports that a High Court judge today ordered police to hand over information to Grant or his former girlfriend Jemima Khan which could show their phone messages were intercepted by a private investigator.
Grant has been very vocal amidst the scandal, even going so far as to turn the tables on Paul McMullan, a former News of the World reporter who was one of the people that had blown the whistle on the full extent of phone-hacking at the paper.
The judge in London said police should disclose information relating to messages allegedly intercepted by private investigator Glenn Mulcaire and used in the News of the World and other newspapers.
