Casey Affleck is in negotiations to join Legendary Pictures' "Paradise Lost." Variety reports the actor would take the role of the angel Gabriel in the Alex Proyas-directed adaptation of John Milton's 17th century poem.
Per Deadline, Camilla Belle is the studio and Proya's choice for the lead role of Eve.
Variety says Belle has received an offer while "Rock of Ages" star Diego Boneta is the frontrunner for the part of Adam.
Bradley Cooper is to play Lucifer with Benjamin Walker as the archangel Michael. Djimon Hounsou co-stars as Abdiel, the angel of death.
Legendary's Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni are producing the action film along with Vincent Newman via his Vincent Newman Entertainment banner. The project will fall under Legendary's overall agreement with Warner.
A January 2012 shoot is being eyed in Sydney.
