Oprah still tops Forbes list of highest-earning women, but for how long?
By Nancy Tartaglione-Moore
Oprah Winfrey still tops Forbes' list of Hollywood's Highest Earning Women with $290 between May 2010 and May of this year. And, despite a difference of $200 million between Winfrey and the list's number two, Lady Gaga, Forbes wonders if the media mogul's run is nearing an end given that her now-defunct talk show accounted for the majority of last year's earnings.
In order to maintain the earnings pace she has been on for the past five years, Winfrey will have to make OWN a success.
(Separately, The New York Post reported today that Discovery would pump even more millions into OWN as the flailing network pushes the reset button.)
Landing in third place on the Forbes list is Real Housewife and Skinnygirl Bethenny Frankel with $55 million.
