Bardem confirms he's Bond 23 villain (MI6, ABC)
By Nancy Tartaglione-Moore
Back in January, Deadline reported that Javier Bardem had been offered a starring role in the latest James Bond pic - which is still being called Bond 23 despite rumors of "Skyfall" as its official title.
Speaking to MTV last month, 007 Daniel Craig said he hoped that both Bardem and Ralph Fiennes would be joining the upcoming installment.
Bardem himself has now confirmed his participation. Speaking to "Nightline," Bardem answered Christiane Amanpour's question about "the next villain you are going to play, in James Bond?" with Bardem responding: "I am very excited, my parents took me to watch the movies, and I saw all of them, and to play that is going to be fun. They chose me to play this man, but I cannot give you many details."
Below is the video of Bardem on "Nightline," the Bond comments come near the end.
