"NYPD Blue's" Steven Bochco and David Milch are to reunite for a new drama series at NBC. Per Deadline, the network has given a script commitment with significant penalty to the untitled legal drama from Bochco, Milch, Imagine TV and 20th Century Fox TV.
Set inside DC's hottest law firm, show will center on a charismatic rainmaker lawyer with a dark secret.
Bochco and Milch co-created the project and will write the story together. Bochco, Milch and Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo are executive producing.
According to Deadline, the project came about following a call Grazer made to Bochco inviting him for a meeting, and asking him to bring Milch along.
Vulture adds that after hearing the pitch for the project, new NBC chief Bob Greenblatt jumped on the idea, ordering a script with a mid-six-figure penalty attached.
