Here's a round-up of TV casting news:
Former "Heroes" star Milo Ventimiglia is set to star in Frank Darabont's TNT drama pilot "L.A. Noir," a fast-paced crime drama set in Los Angeles during the 1940s and 50s. He is expected to join "The Walking Dead" alum Jon Bernthal, who has been in negotiations for another lead. (DH).
Brie Larson will play the female lead opposite Michael Angarano in Nick Stoller's single-camera comedy pilot for CBS. The untitled project is a twentysomething ensemble comedy that centers on a commitment-phobic ad agency exec who, after getting dumped by his longtime girlfriend, realizes he has to continue working with her one cubicle away. (DH).
"Lost" alum alert: Titus Welliver is the first actor cast in NBC's drama pilot "Midnight Sun." The thriller is based on an Israeli format and follows the mysterious disappearance of Midnight Sun, a group living on a cult-like commune in Alaska, and a female FBI cult specialist leading the investigation that uncovers a larger conspiracy. (DH).
Jeanne Tripplehorn will star in two episodes of "New Girl," coming between Zooey Deschanel's Jess and Dermot Mulroney's Russell. (TLF).
Ken Olin will co-star in ABC's drama pilot "Americana" as the owner of a garment manufacturing company in the project about a legendary fashion designer and his family business. Anthony LaPaglia stars as the designer. (TLF).
