'Fox Mole' Joe Muto Sells Memoir To Penguin Imprint (GAW, NYO)

Joe Muto, aka the Fox Mole, has sold a book about his experiences inside Fox News Channel to Penguin imprint Dutton. Gawker reports the book went for a low-six-figure advance and will be a "How to Lose Friends and Alienate People-style industry memoir in a Dave Barry/David Sedaris tone." The tentative title is "An Atheist in the Foxhole."
Muto worked at Fox News Channel for 8 years. He began posting about the outfit last month on Gawker and was subsequently revealed as the Fox Mole on the same website.
The New York Observer reported earlier this week that Muto was been shopping a book proposal.
